This is not a supported configuration by Sophos 😉 Normally when you get an old hardware Appliance, ex. UTM 220, 320 etc, you cannot use this in your home environment (With your free home license), without paying for a hardware license. This can be “solved”, by making the hardware installation think, it’s going software 🙂

Spoke to my sophos rep (not the selling partner) and made it clear that they either find a way to license the UTM for another 4 years or else we're walking. Rep quoted us a 4 year license for the UTM at a very competitive rate and also gave me a free 4 year license for a single XG software appliance so I could continue to evaluate it as they
